• 24. - 26.6. 1999: organizing the Alps-Adriatic Soroptimist meeting in Maribor. The theme was ethnic music, participants came from Austria, Croatia and Italy.
• Provision of financial aid and dental preventative aid for the residents of the Safe House
• Two charity concerts of classical music for the benefit of young talented musicians
• Visits and cooperation with clubs from Bruck an der Mur, Graz, Leoben, Vienna, Ljubljana, Zagreb, and Iceland as well as with the Maribor Rotary and Lions clubs, Socius, Liege, Strasbourg, and Mersin.
• A round table on human trafficking.

• A group visit to the Council of Europe and to our ambassador and Council member Magdalena Tovornik in Strasbourg
• Forming a committee for the establishment of a Soroptimist charter in Ptuj. Resolution to accept the sponsorhip. Levina Hribernik appointed as Godmother and person in charge of training.
• Our member Marjeta Strban recieves a citation from the Ministry of Labor, Family and Social Affairs for her work for the Safe House.

• a three-day visit of Ms. Siri Bjercke, the SI coordinator for extension, related to the chartering of a new club in Ptuj.
• On September 29, our club holds a charter ceremony where the Ptuj club is successfully established and accepted into the international Soroptimist association. Substantial financial support is offered to the Ptuj club in their project to help children with special needs in Ptuj
• A charity concert for children with special needs in Gustav Šilih Elementary School (Ulwilla instruments)
• Preventive dental aid for the Safe House (Sonja Šilih, M.D.)
• Financial aid to Sonček, the cerebral palsy association, VDC, Polž, UNICEF, and the Red Cross.
• Participation in SI meetings and conferences in Graz, Winterhur, Frohenleiten, Salsburg, Sarajevo, Perth (Australia), and Ljubljana
• Financial aid to individual socially endangered families.

• Preparations for the 10th anniversary of the club
• Organization of a meeting of Alps-Adriatic SI clubs in Maribor
• Organization of Christmas celebration in the Maribor Festival Hall and donating Christmas gifts to 270 children (aged 5 to 10 years) from financially endangered families.
• The president of the club participates in the Governors' meeting and in SI congress in Turkey.

• Celebration of the 10th anniversaries of the Maribor and Ljubljana clubs in Bled, with several Slovene and international guests present

• Joint celebration with the SI club Bruck an der Mur of their 25th anniversary in Maribor
• The attempts to form a new club in Koper were not successful.
